Following a successful tender, we transformed the heating systems at Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport.
As a company with extensive experience of working with high-end hotels across London, our challenge was to provide a low maintenance, high-efficiency solution to satisfy the hotel’s exacting demanding requirements. The Hyatt Place hotel is renowned for the exceptional performance it delivers to its business and leisure travellers and we needed to deliver the same high levels of performance.
We worked with Baxi to develop a solution that included installing four Remeha Gas 310 Eco Pro and two Andrews Water Heaters SUPAflo EVO units.
We kept the hotel fully operational during the plant replacement, carrying out the removal and installation in stages to achieve almost zero interruption to the hot water and heating services.
The first phase of the project involved installing one of the new SUPAflo EVOs to ensure a constant hot water supply in the hotel. Once this was in place, we were able to remove the old water heaters and fit the second new SUPAflo.
The SUPAflo EVO achieves up to 98% gross efficiency for energy-efficient, cost-effective operation. With a high hot water recovery of up to 9,230 litres per hour, the SUPAflo EVO satisfies the most demanding applications, making it perfectly suited to environments like hotels that need large volumes of instant hot water.
The second phase of the project entailed installing temporary boilers to keep the heating service running while the team carefully removed ten older non-condensing boilers and replaced them with the new highly efficient Remeha boilers.
With the move from non-condensing to condensing boiler technology, a new flue system needed to be installed. New pumps and a new plate heat exchanger were also fitted as part of the project to optimise the performance and longevity of the new boilers by protecting them from any contamination.
With the plant replacement now complete and our warrantee in place, Hyatt Place now have reliable heating and hot water systems and can look forward to cost savings and emission reductions for years ahead.
